Basketball Recap: Afton Comes Up Short

Afton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Harpursville Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 64-45 defeat back in January.

Afton's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Harpursville, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

While Afton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
