Basketball Recap: Christian Academy's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silver Creek, Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-52 victory over the Lanesville Eagles. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Eagles are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joshua Renfro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 for 14 en route to 31 points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of David Cook, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Lanesville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brady Elias, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Braydon Hodges, who put up 11 points.

Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Lanesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Jeffersontown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lanesville has already played their next match, a 67-35 defeat against Orleans on the 18th.
