West Scranton is 9-1 against Scranton Prep since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Invaders will face off against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for West Scranton and four for Scranton Prep.

Valley View hit West Scranton with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Invaders came up short against the Cougars, falling 8-1.

West Scranton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Tallo, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Scranton Prep lost 16-1 to Valley View on Friday.

Scranton Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for West Scranton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Everything went West Scranton's way against Scranton Prep in their previous matchup back in April, as West Scranton made off with an 18-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Invaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
