Basketball Recap: Seguin's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Seguin won the last time they faced Lanier and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Seguin Matadors were the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over the Lanier Voks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Matadors.

Seguin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rebeka Wilke out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Wilke is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Gil, who made all 5 shots she took for 10 points.

Seguin's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Lanier, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

Seguin and Jefferson will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lanier will take on Edison in a holiday battle at at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Lanier is facing Edison at the right time seeing as Edison is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
