Softball Recap: Heights Gets the Win

Heights won the last time they faced Bellaire and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Cardinals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Delilah Aregon was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matchups.

Heights' win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Bellaire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Heights will challenge rival Houston Math Science & Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bellaire is set to take on their familiar foe Lamar at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
