Hudson is 9-1 against Columbus since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hudson Pirates will take on the Columbus Sailors. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hudson has three straight wins, Columbus has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Hudson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past New Hampton, posting an 84-54 victory. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Chickasaws are ranked 252nd), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Columbus lost 77-57 to Waterloo West on Saturday.

Hudson pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.

Everything came up roses for Hudson against Columbus in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the team secured a 77-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hudson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
