Baseball Recap: Harding Comes Up Short

If Harding was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of McKinley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Canfield Cardinals by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Gummy Hart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Harding's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Canfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

While Harding had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
