Football Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

Spring Valley and Glenwood City squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Spring Valley had to settle for second. They took a 21-2 bruising from the Hilltoppers. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Spring Valley's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Glenwood City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Spring Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenwood City, they will challenge Cochrane-Fountain City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hilltoppers 13.2, the Pirates 2.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
