Softball Recap: Manning Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Manning finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the Lakewood Gators, falling 13-2. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Manning's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lakewood, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Manning will take on Mullins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakewood, they will be playing at home against South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
