Volleyball Recap: Wendover Comes Up Short

Wendover lost against Rowland Hall back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Winged Lions. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wendover was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-10.

Rowland Hall found their leader in freshman Akemi Kawabata, who had nine digs and two aces.

Wendover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Rowland Hall, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Wendover has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Summit Academy on the 20th. As for Rowland Hall, they will head out on the road to challenge Maeser Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Winged Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
