Volleyball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

Avalon suffered their biggest defeat since August 12th on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Samueli Academy Firewolves. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lancers haven't been shut out since back in August.

While Avalon was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Samueli Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-23.

Avalon's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Samueli Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Avalon is set to face off against their familiar foe Tarbut V' Torah at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Samueli Academy will square off against rival Acaciawood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
