Basketball Recap: Ider Takes a Loss

Ider was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Skyline Vikings and fell 82-29. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Vikings are ranked 57th).

Ider's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Skyline, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ider will host Valley Head at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ider is facing Valley Head at the right time seeing as Valley Head is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Skyline, they will take on Woodville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Skyline knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Woodville likes a good challenge.
