Burlington Township wins going away against Doane Academy

The Burlington Township Falcons entered their tilt with Doane Academy with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Burlington Township strolled past Doane Academy with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 66-48. Given Burlington Township's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Doane Academy is ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Burlington Township found their leader in underclassman Quayd Hendryx, who scored 12 points along with eight assists. That's the first time this season that Hendryx posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Ferguson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Burlington Township has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Doane Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burlington Township will take on Northern Burlington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Doane Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Pennsauken at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th.
