Baseball Game Preview: Conner Cougars vs. Ryle Raiders

The Conner Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Ryle Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conner will be strutting in after a win while Ryle will be coming in after a defeat.

If Conner beats Ryle with six runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Cougars had just enough and edged out Covington Catholic 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since May 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Ryle entered their matchup against Simon Kenton on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Raiders lost 9-2 to the Pioneers.

The win made it two in a row for Conner and bumps their season record up to 10-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Ryle, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1.
