Basketball Recap: Leavitt Piles Up the Points Against Waterville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leavitt). They claimed a resounding 65-26 win over the Waterville Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-17 back in December of 2024.

Caitlyn Mccoy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 12 for 20 en route to 30 points along with five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gabby Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Leavitt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Leavitt's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Waterville, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Leavitt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-36 loss against Mount View on the 17th. Waterville has also already played their next contest, a 47-29 defeat against Morse on the 17th.
