Baseball Recap: Crestwood Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Crestwood took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Charles City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cadets had just enough and edged out the Comets 5-4 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Cadets: when they faced off against the Comets on Friday, they had to take a 15-5 defeat.

Crestwood's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-13. As for Charles City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-20.

Looking ahead, Crestwood will venture away from home to square off against Waukon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charles City, they will welcome New Hampton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chickasaws' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
