Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy-Johnston's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

American Leadership Academy-Johnston can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Village Christian Academy Knights 8-7.

Payton McMahon was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Jackson, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Village Christian Academy only managed eight hits.

American Leadership Academy-Johnston's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Village Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Village Christian Academy will face off against Fayetteville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. American Leadership Academy-Johnston will be paying especially close attention to the Knights' matchup: after the Knights faces off against Northwood Temple Academy, they'll take on American Leadership Academy-Johnston again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
