Basketball Recap: Fremont Silverwolves vs. Davis Darts

Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 72-40 loss at the hands of the Davis Darts. While losing is never fun, the Silverwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Darts are ranked fifth).

Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Cam Campbell, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Campbell a new career-high. Will Ridgway was another key player, putting up nine points.

Davis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JT Turley, who went 6 for 7 en route to 17 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Sparrow, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points and six steals.

As for Davis, they will take on Layton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Davis has won nine straight at home dating back to last season, while Layton won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
