With a playoff win on the line, Ridge Community rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Haines City Hornets by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Bolts: when they faced off against the Hornets back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Ridge Community walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Ainete Rivera paced Ridge Community's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rivera got some help from Tae'Lor Slaughter and her 18 assists. Slaughter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Ridge Community has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season. As for Haines City, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Ridge Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Winter Haven on the 14th. Haines City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
