Basketball Recap: San Manuel Comes Up Short

San Manuel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-28 loss at the hands of the Fort Thomas Apaches. The Miners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.

Adaia Lorenzo was her usual excellent self, going 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points for Fort Thomas. Another player making a difference was Raeleigh Hawkins, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

San Manuel's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Fort Thomas, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

San Manuel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Thomas, they will take on Valley Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Thomas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.6 points per game this season.
