Volleyball Recap: Churchill Victorious + How To Watch

After losing to Clarksburg the last time they met, Churchill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Coyotes on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Churchill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-12.

Lucy Deraleau paced Churchill's offense, picking up 17 kills. Deraleau got some help from Charlotte Deraleau and her 33 assists. Lucy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophia Gouda, each putting up three.

The victory got Churchill back to even at 8-8. As for Clarksburg, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Churchill will face off against Gaithersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarksburg, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blair at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
