Basketball Recap: Great Bridge Comes Up Short

Great Bridge came up into this matchup off a tough 74-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs by a score of 41-38 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since December 27, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Great Bridge and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Norfolk Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Bridge will head out to face off against Western Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Norfolk Academy, they will square off against StoneBridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
