Menchville has gone 7-1 against Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Monarchs will host the Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Menchville has three straight victories, Heritage has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Menchville barely beat Kecoughtan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Monarchs were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Warriors on Tuesday. Considering Menchville have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Heritage fell victim to Woodside and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Woodside are ranked 69th).

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Menchville, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Menchville took their victory against Heritage when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
