Softball Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

Christian is 0-4 against Patrick Henry since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. Christian will face off against Patrick Henry at 4:00 p.m. Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Patrick Henry's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Christian managed to slip by Mater Dei Catholic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 12-2 to the Crusaders last Tuesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Patriots, who until this match were averaging 3.3 runs allowed.

Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Moody, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry suffered their biggest loss since March 1st on Tuesday. They came up short against Academy of Our Lady of Peace, falling 15-4. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Christian, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 15-4-1.

Christian couldn't quite finish off Patrick Henry when the teams last played back in May of 2016 and fell 5-3. Can Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
