Sandia barely beat Manzano the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Matadors blew past the Monarchs 8-2 on Saturday. Considering Sandia have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sandia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matchups. As for Manzano, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Sandia didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Eldorado on the 22nd. As for Manzano, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against La Cueva on the 21st.
