Basketball Recap: Great Falls Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Great Falls Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine 73-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-27 back in December of 2024.

Great Falls Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Great Falls Central Catholic will square off against Heart Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Great Falls Central Catholic is facing Heart Butte at the right time seeing as Heart Butte is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Denton/Stanford/Geyser/Geraldine, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centerville at 6:30 p.m. on February 15th.
