Football Game Preview: Boyd Yellowjackets vs. Jim Ned Indians + How To Watch

The Boyd Yellowjackets will challenge the Jim Ned Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Boyd has given up an average of 29.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Boyd is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Paradise on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Yellowjackets were dealt a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Jim Ned waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took down the Mustangs 24-7. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 388th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jim Ned had a senior duo take command as Cash Gwinn threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt and Breck Lawson picked up 181 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 181 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Lawson.

Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jim Ned, their record now sits at 9-1.
