Civic Leadership took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Academy of Science and Innovation by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 26-28, 25-12, 25-10.

Civic Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
