The biggest upset of the week belonged to San Leandro, who took down 258th ranked Bishop O'Dowd, 30-26. Stephen Johnson threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Berkeley extended the longest winning streak in West Alameda County - Foothill this week by beating Castro Valley, 15-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Dream Greene was the best wideout in the league this week as the Pirates bested the Dragons. Greene racked up three receptions for 59 yards. Christian Carter helped San Leandro's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.
Isaiah Hunter was the most productive running back in the league this week. In nine carries, he ran for 70 yards as Encinal beat Bishop O'Dowd. Teammate Corey Sails added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.
San Leandro's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pirates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 678 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Greene has 20 catches for 311 yards. Randy Bell leads the league in rushing with 716 yards.
Berkeley was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Yellowjackets vanquished the Trojans 15-13 earlier in the week.
