Football Recap: Bristol Eastern Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Bristol Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 38-8 takedown of RHAM last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers received a blow on Friday as they fell 24-8 to the Edwin O. Smith Panthers. The Lancers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Bristol Eastern lost, don't look at Lincoln Bashaw. Despite the final result, he rushed for 90 yards and one score.

A big part of Edwin O. Smith's victory came down to the chemistry between Sean Podosek and his top target Joey Baker. Podosek threw for 193 yards and a pair of TDs while Baker picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the most receiving touchdowns Baker has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bristol Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Edwin O. Smith, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bristol Eastern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 29-6 defeat against Newington on the 15th. As for Edwin O. Smith, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-7 loss against Berlin on the 14th.
