Basketball Recap: Longview Christian Skates Past Wylie Prep Academy with Ease

Longview Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Wylie Prep Academy on Friday. Longview Christian breezed past Wylie Prep Academy to the tune of 46-16. Longview Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Isabella Smith produced another solid effort going 10-for-18 en route to 21 points and five boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Lily Hildebrand was another key player, shooting 60% from the field to rack up 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Longview Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Longview Christian's record is now 4-1. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Longview Christian has already played their next matchup, a 33-29 loss against Providence Academy on the 22nd. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coram Deo Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
