Joliet Catholic is a perfect 3-0 against Coal City since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hilltoppers will challenge the Coalers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Joliet Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Beecher by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Joliet Catholic.

They hit Beecher with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Diego Rios, Adan Verdin, and Nicolas Gallegos.

Meanwhile, Coal City kept a clean sheet against Carver on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Challengers. Considering Coal City have won 12 matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Something new happened on Monday as Nick Pfeiffer saw his first action of the season, playing 15 minutes against Carver. Pfeiffer made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal and one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Coal City's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Joliet Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 9-9-1.
