Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Cuba City back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverdale Chieftains were beaten by the Cuba City Cubans 79-38. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Cubans are ranked ninth).

Riverdale's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Cuba City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Riverdale will be home for the holidays to greet Iowa-Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale is facing Iowa-Grant at the right time seeing as Iowa-Grant is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cuba City, they will venture away from home to square off against Boscobel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
