Waterbury Career Academy was led to victory by Andrew Williams and Zaire Lott. Williams scored 29 points along with six rebounds, while Lott scored 36 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Lott's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonovan Bracey, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
St. Paul Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Waterbury Career Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
St. Paul Catholic will look to defend their home court on Friday against Torrington at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Torrington is ranked 69th, while St. Paul Catholic is ranked 60th). As for Waterbury Career Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Ansonia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
