Baseball Recap: Perry County Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Perry County Central can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on the Westerville Central Warhawks with a sharp 14-4 victory.

Devin Gayhart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Gayhart was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Perry County Central got a massive performance out of Tate Watts, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Shade Combs, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
