Baseball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Takes a Loss

Northside - Pinetown lost against Manteo on March 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Northside - Pinetown fell just short of Manteo by a score of 8-7. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chase Hewitt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Blake Wainwright was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Northside - Pinetown's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Manteo, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Northside - Pinetown will head out to take on Pamlico County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Pamlico County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Northside - Pinetown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Manteo, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Currituck County at 7:00 p.m.
