North Side waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Wyatt Chaparrals by a score of 2-0. The Steers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chaparrals, too.

Leading North Side to victory were Hiliana Montes and Nyla Ortiz. Montes had six assists and four aces, while Ortiz had ten digs and three assists. That's the most aces Montes has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: North Side was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.

North Side now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wyatt, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

North Side didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Carter-Riverside on the 15th. As for Wyatt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Alvarado on the 16th.
