Softball Recap: Kossuth Drops Season-High Score on Corinth

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kossuth). They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Corinth Warriors on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Kossuth has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Corinth and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kossuth will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pine Grove at 6:00 p.m. on April 15. As for Corinth, they will be playing at home against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corinth's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lafayette has averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
