Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Millville

Millville won the last time they faced Sullivan County and things went their way on Monday too. Millville never let Sullivan County get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Quakers have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Chase Reynolds made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evan Brokenshire, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Gunner Sternhagen was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

The win (which was Millville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Sullivan County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
