Basketball Recap: Inderkum Tigers vs. Antelope Titans
In what's become a running theme this season, the Inderkum Tigers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They put the hurt on Antelope with a sharp 92-69 victory. 92 seems to be a good number for Inderkum as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Inderkum got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Butler out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. Siincere Hudson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Antelope's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juleean Alias, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals. Alias is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quentin Mitchell, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Inderkum pushed their record up to 13-6 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.9 points. As for Antelope, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inderkum will take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. River Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Antelope, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodcreek is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season.
