Roncalli is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Marist. The Royals walked away with a 2-0 win over the RedHawks. The victory was nothing new for the Royals as they're now sitting on 19 straight.

Elijah Berger paced Roncalli's offense, picking up 12 kills. Berger got some help from Matthew Dial and his 25 assists.

Roncalli's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Marist, the loss snapped their winning streak at 21 games and leaves them with a 28-2 record.

Roncalli has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Cathedral on the 10th. As for Marist, they will be playing at home against Libertyville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the RedHawks have won 29 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Wildcats won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
