Baseball Recap: Waukesha South Takes a Loss

Waukesha South extended their losing streak to 20 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-21 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arrowhead Warhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackshirts of the 9-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bryce Krueck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Waukesha South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Wiltz, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for Arrowhead, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

On Arrowhead's side, Turner Dittrich looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Dittrich a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Arrowhead beat Waukesha South by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
