Noah Ayala commands the offense for Warriors win

Recap: Immanuel Christian Warriors vs. Mountain View Lobos

Even though the Mountain View Lobos scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, the Immanuel Christian Warriors still came out on top. Immanuel Christian secured a 72-66 W over Mountain View. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Immanuel Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Immanuel Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Ayala, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Ben Story was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.

When it comes to explaining why Mountain View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jared Maciel. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maciel has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus " gio" Rodriguez, who scored 16 points.

Even though they lost, Mountain View were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Immanuel Christian only posted 11 assists.

Immanuel Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 10-19.

Immanuel Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to take on Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mountain View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
