Baseball Recap: Cashton Comes Up Short

Cashton fell victim to Westby and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Norsemen, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Norsemen: they've now lost four in a row.

Cashton's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Westby, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Cashton will welcome Bangor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westby, they will square off against Viroqua at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
