Basketball Game Preview: Ponaganset Chieftains vs. Scituate Spartans

Ponaganset has won six straight games at home, while Scituate has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Ponaganset Chieftains will welcome the Scituate Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Ponaganset earned a 67-54 win over Hope.

Meanwhile, Scituate won against Block Island on Saturday with 71 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Scituate enjoyed a cozy 71-56 victory over Blackstone Valley Prep.

Ponaganset has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Scituate, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
