Basketball Recap: Pineville Takes a Loss

Pineville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Knights are ranked 124th).

Pineville's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-16.

Pineville is taking a road trip to challenge Alexandria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alexandria is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.9 points per game this season. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
