Baseball Recap: West Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

West Mecklenburg lost against Berry back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

West Mecklenburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilio Garcia, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

West Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Berry, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

West Mecklenburg will take on Mallard Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are facing the Mavericks at the right time seeing as the Mavericks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Berry, they will challenge Olympic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.64 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
