Basketball Game Preview: Spooner Rails vs. Cameron Comets

Spooner is 0-9 against Cameron since December of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Spooner Rails are taking a road trip to face off against the Cameron Comets at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Spooner is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ladysmith on Friday. The Rails have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cameron put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Ashland 69-38.

Cameron's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Spooner, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Spooner took a serious blow against Cameron in their previous meeting back in February, falling 74-45. Can Spooner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
