Basketball Recap: Zach Garnett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Frontier over Mission College Prep

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Frontier can now relate to. They fell 67-55 to the Mission College Prep Royals on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Royals are ranked 75th).

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Garnett, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Garnett's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Dallin Crawford was another key player, going 7-for-8 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Mission College Prep, they pushed their record up to 24-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission College Prep, they will challenge Central at 8:00 p.m. on February 28th. One thing working in Mission College Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
