For the second straight game, New Albany will face off against North Pontotoc. New Albany will head out to take on North Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Albany is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, New Albany didn't have quite enough to beat North Pontotoc and fell 4-3. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Skinner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, New Albany saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Ewing, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

New Albany's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-8. As for North Pontotoc, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-8.
